Smooth Fitness 7.6 HR Power Folding Treadmill

... I've had this model for about 5 months now. This is a very nice treadmill. It comes with "In House" installation and setup which I highly recommend. This thing weighs quite a bit and is a little awkward to unbox and setup.

You don't want UPS to drop this thing off on your front porch.

It has a lot of features and programmable settings to auto your workout. The push button raise and lower feature is just great. Comes in handy for cleaning around device and when extra room is needed.

I'm 6 foot tall and the long length pad is very nice. The only draw back is that for a 6 foot guy, the side rails aren't high enough to, comfortably, hold while running. They are not adjustable.

Outside of the side rails, I really like this treadmill. ...

Proform 560 Crosstrainer Treadmill

... I just put my Proform 560 together and so far it is a very good treadmill.
It is definitely quiet and runs smoothly. You can walk and run on it and it does not make a lot of rambling as much as other cheaper treadmills. My workout was for 30 mins with no problems. The programs to operate are really self-explanatory and manageable. I was very nervous about damages and missing parts, but all of the equipment was in the box and functioning appropriately. As for assembling the treadmill, everything was very easy. It took me and my father a little over 1hr to get everything completed. Actually the belt and the monitor was already together when we pulled it out of the box; the treadmill folds up which is how it came out of the box. I'm glad I can fold it to take up less space. So the only thing we had to do was place the handles on and the smaller accessories that were to be attached to the treadmill. Overall, I made a very good choice on this machine, plus I did get it for a very reasonable price at Academy for only 499.00. This so far is a definite keeper.

Epic T60 Treadmill

... I've run about 400 miles on mine over the course of a few years, with no serious problems. The tread is made from high quality rubber, the machine is very stable, the 60 inch tread length is great, and it's easy to adjust the tread (left or right a centimeter or so, maybe every 100 miles) with a supplied allen wrench. Here are the minor issues I've encountered:
1. It is very difficult to move. You have to lift about 100 pounds just to roll it in a very limited manner.
2. It doesn't beep anymore (to indicate events like power on, or setting the speed to 10MPH, etc.).
3. The pulse measuring feature doesn't work very well. It measures my pulse too quickly (within 3 seconds), or not at all, and as a result it is not very accurate or consistent.
4. It measures distance incorrectly at the very start-- If I start from rest and click 10MPH, the reported distance increases as if I am going 10MPH immediately, while the actual speed is climbing up to 10MPH over the course of about 15 seconds. In other words, it reports I run a mile in exactly 6 minutes when really the first 15 seconds were at a slower pace.
5. The aluminum panel at the front end of the tread is flimsy. I stepped on it twice while running, almost destroying the panel on one occasion. It is now a bit warped and it almost touches the tread. I've learned to avoid it, which is easy when you have 60 inches to work with. ...

Reebok 8700 ES Treadmill - Free Silver Service Delivery!

... Very easy to use and compact when the treadmill is folded up. The speed setting buttons are large, with 12 individual buttons, each incrementally increase from 1 to 12 mph on the right side of the user panel. I am able to reach any mph quickly by pressing one of the mph buttons. Similarly, the incline increases 1 to 12%, buttons on the left side of the panel. There's a built-in speaker on the top of the panel to play songs from MP3's, Ipods, etc. A personal, wide fan is on the bottom of the user panel, has two speed settings. Two cup holders, left and right of the console. A LED light and LCD display in the middle of the user panel shows various data like calories burned, miles ran, time, speed, incline, etc. I don't think I am able to input my weight into the machine to more finely tune the calories burned, which is not that important anyway; weight input is just a gimmick on the expensive machines that ask for user weight and age. If you visit your whole sale stores (Sam's, Costco, etc), you can buy one on sale during their seasonal close-out sale after winter or beginning of spring (like close to end of Feb, could get up to almost half-off retail price). I grabbed a display model from my whole seller, last machine for less than half the retail. I'm staying away from the gyms since their membership fees are expensive and the equipments are full of bacteria and viruses from other gym members. Also, having my own treadmill eliminates my driving to gym so I'm saving gas and time (better for the environment). It was well worth the investment because staying healthy is very important (cut down future medical visits and costs); I hope one day we'd be able to use the purchase of these equipments to claim them as medical expense/deduction on taxes, without the need to say it's RX prescription from doctor. ...

Lifecore LC-T900HR Treadmill

... I got my treadmill just after the Christmas holidays for my home. I and my husband are in our 60's. It is very heavy and we had a chore getting upstairs to where we had to put it. Keep that in mind when ordering. Also the manual is too vague, in my opinion, on how to maintain the treadmill. Even after reading the below keep in mind I am NOT unhappy with this machine I just have a few issues that I wanted to share.

After just a month the belt stopped in mid use. We called the 1-888-815-5559 customer service number and they said it sounded like a curcuit breaker went. They sent a new one for us to replace it with. It was a complete panel. The new one did not fit with the screws that came on the old one so we had to get longer screws. Also the original panel only had one black round cylinder (not sure what it was) and when the new panel came it had two. It was easy to replace and has worked for about 4 weeks.

The last time I used it I got an hour on the treadmill when the belt stopped again. This time we unplugged and plugged it back in and it started back up and is still working. We were told by the customer rep that we should have a surge protector and a designated outlet for the treadmill which was not mentioned in the manual and which we now have. The instructions tell you what needs to be done but does not give complete instructions. (example: lubricate deck and belt is one of the troubleshooting tips yet it doesnt' tell you how or with what.) ...

ProForm Crosswalk 3.0 XT Treadmill

... The features of this treadmill are nice and the pre-programmed workouts are better than my old ProForm. However, my old ProForm's control panel was slanted back and folded to 90 degrees and would fit flat against the wall. The control panel on this one is slanted forward and the tread folds to about 75 degrees and will not fit flat. If space is a consideration, do not buy this one. If space is not a problem this will be an excellent machine. ...

Horizon Fitness T74 Treadmill

... first off, i bought this tradmill back in january of this year and only now am staring to use it! the shipping was excellent (the driver not so much) as their was no damage to the box at all. I unpacked it a fews days after delivery to 'check out what i bought' and then left it alone for another few weeks while i ..... well no real reason but laziness. then after finally putting it together - the motor starts, but the top-panel doesnt. argh. so a few more weeks go by before i call horizon c.s. (their hours are really odd btw) but once i reach them, they were fantastic! they shipped me replacement parts with no questions asked. upon receipt of the parts (unexpectedly via next day courier) i realized that i had no idea what to do with them so another few weeks (read: months) i called again and they sent a tech out at no charge to assist me. turns out, one of the wires i hooked up was not done correctly, so the whole time it was my fault but they still did not ask for a service call fee. most excellent!! now that i am using t, it feels solid and well built. the console controls take some learning to understand and use, but that is to be expected. i really like this unit and horizon fitness is great to work with! ...

Ironman 220t Programmable Treadmill (2.25 HP)

... Again, I must warn you that the customer service behind this treadmill is non-existent. After 2 years of light to moderate use, our motor burned out and I've tried to use the "10 year warranty" on the motor to no avail. Ironman does not respond to any attempts to contact them.

Who cares if the treadmill works great for a short time but then breaks down and you can't get a company to stand behind their product. This is too much money to spend on a treadmill that is guaranteed to break down and then you can't get repaired.

DON'T BUY FROM IRONMAN!!! ...

Evo FX 30 Treadmill

... We have owned this treadmill for about a year and it is just great. It is extremely well made and the Smooth Fitness Company's Customer Service is one of the best that I have ever dealt with. We had a cracked handle and a few blemishes on the frame from shipping and they came out right away and replaced it free of charge. I have found this treadmill to be one of the best investment that I have ever made, and with it's warranty and performance. I am more than happy with it. ...

Horizon Fitness T51 Treadmill

... I give this product 5 stars GIVEN it's price. I've had mine for over 4 years and have had it tuned up once because the belt was loose (after 3.5 years). I trained for Ironman Wisconsin through the new england winter when I was injured, and found it to be incredibly durable. It has been dragged throughout our house and has held up fine - the tuneup guy even said it was in great condition after I had logged thousands of miles on it. It isn't for heavier users (the belt slows incrementally when you are over 200 lbs), but it has worked great for me... ...

Lifecore LC-T800 Treadmill

... The only reason I can't give this unit 5 stars is that I didn't realize until it arrived that there really is no shock absorption or cushion mechanism for the running deck.

The unit arrived very promptly. Early in fact and the local freight company that CEVA/Eagle subbed the final delivery to carried the box into my exercise room from the back patio. They were able to pull their truck around the back of my house and use their pallet jack to get it to the sliding glass door so it's not like I made them carry it up a flight of stairs or anything...

Anyway, the unit arrived very well packed and was fully assembled except for 4 bolts and two trim plates that each required 3 screws. We are not large people but I did want a stable, solidly built unit and despite the Made in China markings - I'd say the build quality is pretty darn good.

At 300lbs it is not a one person job to move the box but if you can get it somewhere in the same room - it has wheels and once it is raised, one person can move it on a carpeted floor or the wheels will work well on a hard surface floor.

Finally - while it is too recent to comment on the durability - I selected this unit for the Lifetime motor/frame warranty but also - the unit is covered Parts & Labor for 5 years. Although the in-home service period is 1 year on this unit - for Amazon's killer price of $799 - this thing was a steal!

Thanks to Amazon Free Super Saver Shipping I am into a top notch treadmill for less than $800! I almost rolled the dice and cheaped out with a $599 Horizon but I read so many awful reviews about the damges due to poor shipping packaging and read many other reviews online about the flaky quality and decided to spend a little more for a unit with a better warranty. While I did seriously consider the Sole F63 at $1063 on Amazon - but we are not serious runners nor could I justify the $300 difference for a 3 year in home warranty vs. the Lifecore's 1. All in all - another super deal from Amazon. If this thing had a cushioned deck or the durability is there, them it really deserves 5 stars.

PS - I got this before the price went up - it is now $1099. At this price - I might have gone for the Sole F63 ...
